Felt ZW95 2012 Review
Felt have brought their new FitWomen technology to their range of 2012 road bikes and the ZW95 is no exception. The more expensive of the two Felt women’s road bikes released has been designed with lady riders in mind. It is super lightweight and has an aluminium frame, which keeps it rigid for maximum performance when accelerating. The seat post and front forks are made from carbonĀ fibre, offering a smoother ride and comfortable on long distance journeys. The handlebar and seat positioning are specifically designed for women, but can be tweaked for individual needs.
The classy dove grey frame with white artwork on the Felt ZW95 is available in three different sizes small, medium and large to make it so that everyone woman can fit one of these women specific bikes. The custom butted aluminium frame is durable and long lasting to giveyou great performance every time. The brakes are Dual Pivot with extra Cartridge Brake Shoes and made from Stainless Hardware and Teflon Bushings for a strong and secure brakewhich acts perfectly on the Vittoria Zaffiro tyres to give you safe and controlled braking andspeed reduction every time. The 18 gears were upgraded to 20 in 2012 to give more options for women roders. The felt FIT WOMAN anatomic D2 saddle ensures maximum comfort on your ride, though pedals aren’t included with purchase.
The ZW95 has a 6061 aluminium frame and carbon forks to take out some of the shock from the road. Its groupset is predominantly Shimano Tiagra and has 20 gears with an FSA Tempo compact crankset. The bike also comes with a carbon seatpost and the Alex R500 wheelset.
Felt also offer the ZW6 which is nearly twice the price, but is a carbon version of the ZW95.
