Felt ZW6 2012 Review
The Felt ZW6 women’s road bike comes in small and medium sizes and has been designed for female riders exclusively. The Vittoria Zaffiro Folding tyres have a very traditional design and are fitted on Alex R500 aluminium rims for extra support and long life. The brakes connected to these are Micro.Shift brakes with a Short Reach Integrated lever which is top mounted for easy access and use. There are 20 different gears on the bike and these are perfect for ensuring that you have the right level of tyre resistance for the job you’re doing. Finally the Felt ergonomic FIT WOMAN anatomic D3 saddle gives you excellent comfort and support so you don’t finish your endurance rides all sore!
The ZW6 is roughly double the price of the ZW95, much of this cost is justified by the specific carbon frame and forks that Felt are so good at producing for their pro bikes. The knock on benefits of this are simple, it is lightweight 9.02kg (without pedals) and stiffer, as such this is a great bike for climbing hills and speed. It comes with a Shimano Tiagra groupset and has a 20 speed gear using an FSA Vero Compact. The wheelset consist of the Alex R500 rims, felt hubs and swiss spokes. To finish off the carbon fibber bits it has a seatpost to boot. It comes in gloss black with some green and white artwork.
